Monique Kollar joined the Verity Advisors, LLC team at the Austin satellite office as a Senior Account Director in January 2023. Monique is an accomplished financial executive with a background of progressively responsible and diverse experience in cash and securities settlement operations, asset management, risk mitigation, system implementation, client servicing and leadership. Prior to joining Verity Advisors, LLC, she worked for the state of Texas for 29 years, most recently serving as the Director of Trust, Settlement & Custody Services at the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company, a special purpose entity created by the Texas Legislature to efficiently and economically manage, invest and safeguard financial assets for the state and its various subdivisions.
Monique is passionate about lifelong learning and leadership development.
Monique has maintained the designation of a Certified Treasury Professional from the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) for over 15 years. Throughout her career, Monique has been an active member of the local chapters of the AFP, a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing and maintaining a forum for the active and open exchange of ideas, concepts and techniques related to the rapidly changing field of cash and treasury management. Monique served on the Board of the Austin AFP from 2010 – 2017 in the rolls of Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President of Education Programming, and as an Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations Representative.
In 2013, she completed the Business Analyst Certificate Program at the University of Texas at Austin Continuing Education Center. And in 2017, Monique served as the Chair of the Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations’ TEXPO conference. Monique is also an active member in Executive Women in Texas Government (EWTG), a non-profit, non-partisan organization of dedicated individuals devoted to developing and encouraging women in Texas government and higher education by offering opportunities for professional growth, education and advancement. Monique served on the EWTG Board of Directors as Vice President and Chair of the annual professional development conference in 2021 and 2022.
Monique wasn’t born in Texas, but as they say, she got here as fast as she could from Iowa. She has called Austin, TX home for over 35 years now, where she enjoys as much time as possible boating on Lake Travis with her husband, Jim, and their blended family of six kids. Monique and her family also love to travel and work on their never-ending list of DIY home improvement projects.
