As VerityAdvisors Administrative Director, Jackie leads the Administrative Services Organization and report to the Director of Operations. She brings 20-years of related administrative expertise to the role with responsibility covering the administrative, operational, and financial support of VerityAdvisors. Her duties include long-term strategic planning, conducting industry research, overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks to staff and managing personnel.
Crystal is VerityAdvisors Director of Operations reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. In her role she works closely with key personnel, directors at VerityAdvisors, customers, vendor partners, and our Administrative Service Organization. Her responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. As a Houston native, Crystal has 20+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry as Director of HR and Accounting. Her passion has always been in helping people!
David’s career has spanned 38+ years, early-on as a CPA in public practice, and then as an executive in finance, accounting, and risk management positions with both public and private companies. Most recently he completed a nearly fourteen-year stint with Stewart Title Guaranty Company. In his role as Senior Vice President – Finance and Chief Risk Officer, he was responsible for overseeing banking, investment, and related treasury activities; escrow accounting; and risk management, including property, casualty, D&O, cyber, workers’ comp, and liability insurance coverage, business continuity planning as well as the company’s Enterprise Risk Management and Vendor Risk Management programs. His background and knowledge of these areas are extensive.
David has a keen interest in providing leadership and support to not-for-profits, particularly faith-based. Since 2006 he has served on the Board of Directors of the Oldham Little Church Foundation, in Houston, Texas, where is chairs the investment committee. In 2019 David began serving on the Board of Directors of the Estes Park, Colorado-based YMCA of the Rockies, where his family has been active for over 25 years. In the past, he served on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Houston Baptist University, from 1994 to 2003 and again from 2004 to 2013, including service as Chairman in 2000-2001. He and his wife Carla are active in their church and for many years have also been active volunteers and supporters of the Houston Livestock Show
and Rodeo.
With a demonstrated passion for helping others, David believes that his work at Verity fits in perfectly with his philosophy for living and giving. His desire is to ensure that our clients experience a smooth and timely recovery process.
David is a second-generation native Houstonian and sixth-generation Texan. He and his wife Carla have two sons and are now enjoying the fun of being grandparents to two grandsons and a new granddaughter.
Monique Kollar joined the Verity Advisors, LLC team at the Austin satellite office as a Senior Account Director in January 2023. Monique is an accomplished financial executive with a background of progressively responsible and diverse experience in cash and securities settlement operations, asset management, risk mitigation, system implementation, client servicing and leadership. Prior to joining Verity Advisors, LLC, she worked for the state of Texas for 29 years, most recently serving as the Director of Trust, Settlement & Custody Services at the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company, a special purpose entity created by the Texas Legislature to efficiently and economically manage, invest and safeguard financial assets for the state and its various subdivisions.
Monique is passionate about lifelong learning and leadership development.
Monique has maintained the designation of a Certified Treasury Professional from the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) for over 15 years. Throughout her career, Monique has been an active member of the local chapters of the AFP, a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing and maintaining a forum for the active and open exchange of ideas, concepts and techniques related to the rapidly changing field of cash and treasury management. Monique served on the Board of the Austin AFP from 2010 – 2017 in the rolls of Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President of Education Programming, and as an Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations Representative.
In 2013, she completed the Business Analyst Certificate Program at the University of Texas at Austin Continuing Education Center. And in 2017, Monique served as the Chair of the Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations’ TEXPO conference. Monique is also an active member in Executive Women in Texas Government (EWTG), a non-profit, non-partisan organization of dedicated individuals devoted to developing and encouraging women in Texas government and higher education by offering opportunities for professional growth, education and advancement. Monique served on the EWTG Board of Directors as Vice President and Chair of the annual professional development conference in 2021 and 2022.
Monique wasn’t born in Texas, but as they say, she got here as fast as she could from Iowa. She has called Austin, TX home for over 35 years now, where she enjoys as much time as possible boating on Lake Travis with her husband, Jim, and their blended family of six kids. Monique and her family also love to travel and work on their never-ending list of DIY home improvement projects.
Upon graduating from Kingwood High School, Zachery obtained his degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, as well as multiple accredited certifications from the Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown. Zachery comes to us after nearly fifteen years as a Petroleum Landman where he brokered, managed, and oversaw numerous multi-million-dollar Oil and Gas Exploration projects. During his tenure, he spent time working with Federal, State, County, and City agencies in over forty counties and parishes. He continues to maintain his relationships with industry experts and credentials and memberships with the American Association of Petroleum Landman (AAPL) and the National Association of Lease and Title Analyst (NALTA).
Transitioning to our team in 2017 as a consultant, he provides considerable value to clients with Oil and Gas related properties. More so, he has exercised his extensive experience with and knowledge of the Laws of Descent and Distribution, Trusts, and Probate and Estate interpretation, which provides his clients considerable peace of mind and a greater understanding of these complicated matters. His reputation of hard work offers a level of customer service that often exceeds his client’s expectations. He draws additional praise from and prides himself on being available to assist and communicate at any time that is most convenient with his clients.
Currently, Zachery splits his time between our home office here in Houston’s Galleria and our West Texas satellite office, where he is the proud husband to Katie, a Lubbock ISD Teacher of the Year Award recipient. The McAllisters greatly enjoy being members of the First Christian Church of Lubbock and fill the rest of their weekends with family, working on household projects, and enjoying the outdoors. A passionate and dedicated outdoorsman, he is a lifetime donor, supporter, and license holder with the Parks and Wildlife Departments of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. A committed conservationist, he has served multiple terms as a committee board member in various chapters of Coastal Conservation Association and Ducks Unlimited.
A native Texan, Steve has spent almost his entire life in the Texas Gulf Coast area and has over 30 years of experience in finance-related endeavors, including the past seven years with Verity Advisors, LLC. He has personally handled over $800 million in financial transactions including asset recoveries, corporate acquisitions, investment property acquisitions and commercial financings. Growing up in Spring Branch and receiving both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Houston, Steve has deep roots in Houston. He takes great pride in the fact that many of his close friends today started as clients.
Steve draws praise for his attention to detail to ensure the best results knowing that avoiding even the small errors can save weeks or even months in the recovery process. Additionally, he often devotes considerable time educating clients on the process and the numerous requirements placed on our investigators and administrative department. This helps clients appreciate our need to properly document each step of the process and avoid unnecessary delays.
Steve is very proud of his large family that includes his four daughters, their husbands, and ELEVEN grandkids, the oldest of which is only 12. Now that makes for a fun, hectic holidays. He splits his free time between his family, church, volunteer work, and occasionally the golf course.
Lauren Weller received a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. She began her career as a Financial Planning Officer with Kanaly Trust Company. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She also has experience working directly with clients as a Project Consultant for a Houston area roofing and remodeling company. Lauren joined Verity Advisors, LLC in 2018 as a Senior Account Director. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston and an active member of The Bridge Fellowship, serving as a Worship Leader in the adult and children’s ministries. Lauren loves spending time with her husband and children.
Grayson is a native Houstonian and graduate of Texas Christian University where he earned a B.S. in both Criminal Justice and Communication.
While in school, Grayson worked for 4 years at the TCU Outdoor Center in various roles, including Student Manager, Lead Staff (rock climbing instructor), and Adventure Trip Leader. Grayson also spent 6 months working at a local police department with their Criminal Investigations Unit and Public Relations Outreach Team.
Grayson joined the Verity Advisors, LLC team in 2022.
In his free time, Grayson enjoys many hobbies such as playing guitar/drums/piano, acting, photography, woodworking, mountain biking, and golf. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling. Grayson volunteers at Grace Presbyterian Church in their Youth Ministries program and plays guitar part-time in the Worship Band.
Christopher Agostinelli joined the Verity Advisors team in January 2021 bringing over two decades of technical sales and sales/operational leadership experience while serving in various leadership roles at Nalco Water (Nalco). Throughout his career, Chris learned the importance of delivering customer satisfaction and creating value for his customers. By building strong client relationships, he passionately strived to understand his customers’ needs in order to provide the right solutions to solve his customers’ challenges. As a result, Chris earned several sales awards and leadership awards during his career at Nalco.
Outside of the office, Chris is a sports enthusiast and outdoorsman and is very involved with his family. He enjoys playing tennis, golf, and most recently pickleball, as well as duck hunting. He’s also an avid LSU sports fan. Most importantly, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Monica, and their two children. Chris and his family are active parishioners of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Sienna, TX (just outside of Houston) where he resides. Within his parish, he has served as Pastoral Council President, served as a leader on many men’s retreats, and was involved with the building of a brand-new church and administration building within his community. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He has also supported various charities such as A Shelter for Cancer Families, Hope Advocates, and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Chris holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU). Chris also holds various certifications in management, leadership and sales courses. He has lived in the Houston area since 1997.
Robert Bowdon is the President and Founder of Verity Advisors, LLC. His passion is the timely and complete return of all outstanding assets to clients of the business. After more than a decade working in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum landman, Robert founded Verity Advisors to address the growing issue of returning dormant assets to their rightful owners – and it starts with a deep-seated understanding of estate entitlement and corporate ownership. Through a dedication to simplifying this complex process, Robert has successfully facilitated thousands of recoveries totaling tens of millions of dollars and spanning across a wide array of asset types and ownership complexities. Robert has implemented a team of professionals who are experts in their respective fields to grow the business and provide the absolute best experience possible for Verity clients.
Outside of the office, Robert enjoys spending time outdoors and raising his two boys and daughter with his wife, Dee. Robert and his family are active members of Bethel Church of Houston and enjoy volunteering and supporting various organizations including Patriots for Veterans, the Archibald Project, KSBJ, Food for the Hungry, and the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
Robert holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of West Florida. He made Houston his home in the early 2000s and has grown a deep appreciation for the city and Texas as a whole.
Mark is a 35-year banker most recently serving as the Houston CEO for BBVA Compass Bank. With oversight of 80 FTE’s and 4 lines of business the bank grew from 8 thin deposit market share to 4th today. Joining the Verity team in mid-2019, Mark has already made an impact in the lives of the clients he serves. The experience, sense of urgency, passion for adding value, exceptional client service, and transparency he brought to banking are the same skills he brings each day toward timely asset recovery.
A native Texan and resident of Houston for 46 years, Mark is passionate about Texas and the Houston community. As the face of the bank, he has served on numerous Boards including the NCAA Final Four Host Committee, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Houston Furniture Bank, East-West Ministries, and many others.
Mark’s extensive technical experience coupled with his recognized leadership and strategic capabilities has allowed for building, mentoring, and leading teams to accomplish objectives while at the same time building both brand and culture. These strengths and his passion for the success of his clients and teammates have yielded a loyal following of both clients and bankers.
Mark is married to his wife of 28 years and has 3 grown children. Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, snow skiing, and travel.
